We all know about the old-fashioned form of market research - Canvassers standing on street corners or mums giving you samples for the kids to try at tea, but the Internet has brought with it a new style of conducting market research which is extremely appealing to many people. Meanwhile, the companies themselves, and these can include the big giants - multinational corporations- still need to rely on market information to maintain their successes. Companies are now able to only bother those individuals who show willing by opting in to a survey off their own bat. Companies don't need to bother sending unsolicited mail to get feedback.
That saves their budget and does not annoy whole swathes of people. There is no face-to-face contact; companies can gather information in an impersonal way. Companies also don't need to employ armies of people to do literally loads of legwork only to get doors banged in their faces.
It's called 'bare minimum fuss' and it is easy to see why Companies find offering paid online surveys an excellent way forward. And companies do pay several hundred dollars for participation in the most time-consuming survey tasks - focus groups. Online focus groups are great because they circumvent the need to travel to get to a meeting. That, of course is a benefit for the participant.
So what are the other benefits of making money taking surveys online? As is already mentioned, people don't need to be hassled to get involved -They put themselves forward. They also can use the opportunity to top-up any existing earnings or just create a small part-time income for themselves when the kids re at school, for example. Respondents can choose the time of day, and indeed, the frequency, themselves to fit round their existing schedule. And, this is an important one I think, they can give completely honest responses.
There is no interviewer to 'raise an eyebrow' or 'breathe down your neck'. You don't have to complete a survey if you don't want to. You may get a reminder but beyond that you are free to decide whether to work or not.
There are also a range of incentives and rewards for people. Discounted products or free gifts still represent a saving for the individual. But cash is obviously the biggest benefit of taking online surveys. Some other enticements are as follows: Money for every survey you qualify for and complete
